Bocce Ball Retriever Reviews
The retriever is 25 1/2 inches long compacted and 43 1/2 inches fully extended. The telescoping handle is made out of aluminum and is adjustable to any length between the compacted and fully extended measurements given. The plastic cup opening is 5 3/8 inches in diameter and accommodates all sizes of Bocce Balls. The depth of the plastic cup is 4 3/4 inches. To use the retriever, place the Bocce Ball on the ground in front of you, place the plastic cup on the ground directly behind the Bocce Ball and with force, push the plastic cup across in front of you (either left or right) to scoop the ball up into the cup. We recommend the user hold the retriever in the hand that is opposite the one he wants the ball to be in when throwing the Bocce Ball. The reason being that once you retrieve the ball, you will dump the ball out of the retriever and into the hand you intend to throw the Bocce Ball with. Example: if you throw the ball right handed, use the retriever in your left hand. If you throw the ball left handed, use the retriever in your right hand. This way, you do not need to keep changing hands between the retriever and Bocce Ball.
